The family have farmed Ti Kouka located on the western edge of the Hurunui Basin in North Canterbury since 1917. Ti Kouka has the Waitohi River as a boundary to the south, river terraces then cultivated flats climb towards rolling hills and limestone ridges.
The change to organic farming began in 2005 with a desire to farm with a lighter impact on the environment and to be producing for customers with a similar consciousness.
Ti Kouka is cared for by David and Sandy and their two children Jessica (9) and Andrew (7). We grow crops of wheat, flaxseed and run sheep and cattle.
