Not to blow our own trumpets, but our packaging is award-winning; innovative, convenient and recyclable.
The tray Harmony meat comes in uses recycled polyester (the equivalent to two 600ml water bottles) and the starch from a corn husk, which is also considered food waste. Once washed, the polyester is recovered and made into new trays. A completely sealed packaging circle.
respecting our planet by reducing waste
The more of an animal we can use the better. We aim to utilise every part of the carcass, creating a wide range of cuts and smallgoods. We also send offal, offcuts and secondary cuts to producers of bone broth or pet food to minimise wastage. This also means an animal’s value is fully realised and our farmers are rewarded with higher returns.

We are working to make our supply chain as transparent and sustainable as possible. We haven’t got there yet, but we’re making great progress including sending full trucks to the works, employing transportation that is close to our farms to reduce carbon emissions, and working with our processors to ensure they’re as passionate about zero waste and environmentally sustainable work practices as we are.

Understanding where our food comes from and knowing the people who produce it is demanded now by discerning consumers. Every Harmony pork, beef or lamb cut can be traced back to our farms. Provenance isn’t a buzzword, it’s becoming a reality.
